| Preparing
for your visit.
On the day of your appointment please remember to bring
your insurance card, your patient
registration packet (if you printed them out from
our site) and all current medications you are taking.
If you are scheduled for a Nuclear
Stress Test, please follow these guidelines:
|
Starting at
noon the day before your test do not consume
any products with caffeine including decaffeinated
drinks - tea, coffee, chocolate, soft drinks,
and over the counter migraine medicine(Excedrin).
You
may have juice, water, 7UP, Sprite or milk. |
|
No food
or drink after midnight |
|
Wear comfortable
clothes and walking shoes |
|
If you are
taking any medications, please contact
our office for specific instructions |
If you are scheduled for hospital
procedures including Heart Catheterization, Pacemakers,
Electrophysiology
testing, and Radiofrequency
Ablation:
|
Do not have anything
to eat or drink after midnight, unless otherwise
instructed.
|
|
Take one 325
mg asprin everyday. |
|
No smoking for
12 hours before your procedure |
|
Make arrangements
for someone to drive you home after the procedure |
|
There is a possibility
you will be staying overnight. Pack an overnight
bag if you like |
|
Have all your insurance
information with you when you register |
|
Wear loose fitting,
comfortable clothing to the hospital |
|
If you are taking
any medication, please contact
our office for specific instructions. |
Preparation for other procedures
will vary. Your physician will provide the information
you need for your specific test or procedure and answer
any questions you might have.
